Walsh Equipment held a regional equipment show at the Washington Wild Things Field in Washington, Pa., on Aug. 3. The event attracted a crowd of more than 200 of Walsh Equipment's customers from western Pennsylvania who came to see the latest equipment offerings from the dealership.

The Aug. 3 equipment show was the first customer event after Walsh's announcement on July 28 of its strategic merger with fellow Pennsylvania dealer, Stephenson Equipment (SEI). Walsh will continue to operate as an independent division of SEI, under Charlie Walsh's leadership.

Collectively the 40-person Walsh team — with many 10, 20, and 30+ year veterans — has more than 440 years of company service and joins SEI's 145 skilled employees.

“Walsh [founded in 1932] and SEI [1957] combine two storied customer-focused businesses aimed at providing the best in customer sales, service, and support,” he said.

Walsh welcomed attendees to the event and introduced SEI CEO Dennis Heller. Heller talked about the strength of the Walsh team and brand as well as the benefits the combined companies would bring to Pennsylvania customers.

Charlie Walsh also honored his father, Mike Walsh, who has played senior roles at Walsh Equipment for more than 40 years.

Attendees enjoyed a catered lunch while visiting with the Walsh Equipment personnel and manufacturer representatives from many of the dealership's equipment line.

A lineup of JCB machines; representatives from LeeBoy paving equipment; Hi-Way Equipment Company; J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers; Western and Gledhill snow removal; and Muncie Power Products were on hand to present their equipment on display at the event.
