C.N. Wood Co. Inc., Woburn, Mass., has been named the NPK dealer for the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The exclusive distributor for Komatsu off-road equipment will be carrying the full line of NPK products, which includes a comprehensive offering of hydraulic hammers, pedestal breaker systems, heavy duty grapples, primary/secondary crushers, material processors, plate compactor/drivers and quick-attach couplers as well as a complete offering of OEM parts to support these attachments.

According to C.N. Wood, the agreement, which officially began on April 1, 2010, represents the beginning of a great partnership.

“As an attachment manufacturer that is focused primarily on hydraulic excavator applications, we see NPK as the perfect complement to our Komatsu and Volvo product lines. We take pride in offering these high quality excavators, ranging from two to 120 ton size classes, and meeting the challenging applications that are routinely seen in New England. We see an NPK hammer, plate compactor coupler or demolition cutter/processor mounted on one of our highly productive and efficient hydraulic excavators as a winning combination.”

C.N. Wood believes its customers “can expect to be more productive and competitive using NPK attachments on their excavators. In addition, with an already large population of NPK products in our territory, we see an excellent opportunity to inventory both new and rental units, and to provide high quality rebuilds to customers seeking the value of extending the life cycle for their NPK attachments. The NPK product has a well-deserved reputation for performance and reliability, ease of service and low operating cost.

“We are excited to be representing the full NPK product line in our territory. NPK has enjoyed an exceptional reputation for performance and reliability to end users throughout our territory. We feel strongly that NPK shares the same commitment to quality workmanship and customer service that we do as an equipment dealer. The NPK factory personnel that we have dealt with thus far have provided excellent support and are extremely customer focused.”

In order to make the most of the new partnership, C.N. Wood personnel have already completed training for technicians as well as parts and product training. The company also has brought in a significant inventory of parts and whole goods to support the customers in its territory.
