Construction Equipment Guide

The Wolverine Tractor & Equipment Company’s Richmond branch moved from its current facility at 3500 County Line Road in Richmond, MI, to 9700 Marine City Highway in Casco Township.

According to Richmond Branch Manager Chris Kirk, the new location is more than double the size and 70 years younger than its previous Richmond store. The move also makes the new store Wolverine Tractor & Equipment’s largest service facility. The company has been fully operational since Sept. 1, 2005.

While the operation moved into an existing structure on a 14.5-acre lot, extensive remodeling was conducted to update the building to fit the company’s needs. The 14,450-sq.-ft facility now features T-1 capabilities, renovated offices, 10 service bays and a fully stocked parts counter.

The location is staffed by five sales representatives, six service personnel, two parts counter personnel and two full field-service trucks. The store serves Saint Clair and Macomb counties as well as parts of Oakland and Lapeer counties. In addition, because of its close proximity to the Blue Water Ferry, the dealer expects to draw business from neighboring Canada.

The new branch carries the full Wolverine Tractor & Equipment Company equipment lines including Case, Volvo, Takeuchi, Deutz, Gomaco, Cummins, Terex, Esco, Dynaweld, Hypac, Link-Belt, Etnyre, Superline, Groeneveld, Eager Beaver and Rammer products, and feature a Klochko Equipment Rental Company.

Since 1951, Klochko Equipment Rental Company Inc. has been providing construction and industrial rental equipment, with or without operators. Its service department features a fleet of radio-dispatched professional service technicians to get customers up and running fast in the event of unscheduled service.

The kick off for Wolverine Tractor’s new branch will take place in the near future and Kirk anticipates an open house event in the spring of 2006.
