Yoder & Frey reported that the specialist one-day, off-site Quarry, Aggregate & Mining Surplus disposal sale that it was appointed to organize in Friedens, Pa., on Sept. 27 was a real success.

A number of high specification, good quality and well maintained specialist pieces of equipment along with an assortment of 20-plus ton excavators, dozers, scrapers, rigid dump trucks and a good selection of wheeled loaders all went under the hammer and created considerable international interest with strong prices and a large influx of first time bidders and buyers attending.

"Based on our track record, our access to U.S. and international buyers and the prices we achieve, we are increasingly being entrusted to coordinate disposal equipment sales like then one we've just delivered in Pennsylvania," said Peter Clark, president of Yoder & Frey.

"Being able to maximize the potential sale value of equipment is important to our customers and in this instance, while much of the equipment on offer had been well used; it had also been meticulously maintained and was being offered in excellent condition, given its age. It was still really attractive to many buyers and opening the sale up to several other consignors also increased the appeal of the event and meant we were able to offer some excellent additional bargains to our growing portfolio of U.S. and global buyers."
