“Overall we were pleased with how our recent Kissimmee auction went,” said Peter Clark, president of Yoder & Frey. “We realized good numbers for our consigners and our buyers left with quality equipment. The fact that first time buyers accounted for two thirds of the overall buyers show that the quality of the equipment consigned is really attracting more and more new customers all the time.”

The fact that first time buyers accounted for two thirds of the overall buyers show that the quality of the equipment consigned is really attracting more and more new customers all the time.” The one-day Yoder & Frey sale in October saw more than a quarter of all bidders attend a sale for the first time. Just under half of them were successful first-time buyers, grabbing some impressive equipment and helping drive the hammer total for the over 400 lots sold up to over $3.6 million for the day.

Yoder & Frey, auctioneers of heavy construction, mining and agricultural equipment in the U.S., reported massive increases in attendance and interest at its recent one-day Kissimmee Auction in late October, a positive prelude to the now famous, Kissimmee winter equipment sale, which commences for a week from Feb. 12 to 16 2019.

The one-day Yoder & Frey sale in October saw more than a quarter of all bidders attend a sale for the first time. Just under half of them were successful first-time buyers, grabbing some impressive equipment and helping drive the hammer total for the over 400 lots sold up to over $3.6 million for the day. First-time buyers also accounted for almost two-thirds of the overall sale by value.

Bidders came from across the country and there was considerable online interest from local and international buyers via Yoder & Frey's website and online bidding applications which together accounted for almost half of all the winning bids.

"Overall we were pleased with how our recent Kissimmee auction went," said Peter Clark, president of Yoder & Frey. "We realized good numbers for our consigners and our buyers left with quality equipment. The fact that first time buyers accounted for two thirds of the overall buyers show that the quality of the equipment consigned is really attracting more and more new customers all the time."

The final Yoder & Frey auction of the year is scheduled to take place in Ashland, Ohio on Dec. 6.

"We have also seen significant interest in our next Ashland auction following the Section 179 tax deduction announcement, particularly as the limit for the tax year to December 2018 was increased to $1,000,000 if under $2.5m of equipment is purchased and put into use in the year," said Clark. "This doubles the deduction limit compared to last year, and it now applies to the purchase of used equipment too so it's good news for all. Our Ashland sale is timed perfectly to take advantage of the concessions available."
