Jun 16, 2025 - A $54.6 million project overseen by ODOT in Summit County's Bath and Richfield townships aims to increase safety on I-77 by adding an additional lane in each direction from Everett Road to State Route 21. The construction, set to be completed by summer 2026, involves widening six bridges, replacing four miles of pavement and improving drainage. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Annette Chambers-Smith announce $50M in grants for 19 local jail construction and renovation projects. The Ohio Jail Safety and Security Program aims to improve safety, security and programming for inmates and staff. Funding supports new construction, upgrades and feasibility studies.
